ABOUT ME

Most people seem to have little trouble reciting a string of curated personal details when prompted, but my autobiographical elevator pitch remains a perpetual work-in-progress. As a teenager, my professional aspirations did not extend much further than hoping to drive the bigger tractor on my grandparents’ horse farm, where I worked summers and Saturdays on the maintenance crew. While the operation of agricultural machinery turned out not to be my calling, I’ve since found myself performing an assortment of functions, including college history instructor, equine insurance agent, lawyer, weekend musician, husband and dad. Each has made me a better writer.
